Olivia Heart was born and raised in a small town in Vermont, until her parents decided to pack up and move down south to North Carolina in the middle of the summer before 8th grade. It didn't sound too bad once she found out her best friend's family was also coming along. But living in the heat after being raised out in the cold wasn't easy.

Alexander (Xander) Price was perfectly fine in his native land of Brisbane, Australia. But his family had other plans as they decided to move him and his younger brother to America halfway through his school year. But adjusting to another country where all the kids make fun of his accent wasn't easy either.

When first impressions go terribly, the two end up developing a deep dislike for each other. With senior year having a rough start, the two end up in a month of after school detention together. Tensions rise so high that even the school janitor notices the angry glares thrown across the room. Everyone wonders when the 4 year long ticking time bomb will eventually blow.

Olivia Heart has lasted through mean girls, fake friends, endless heat, plus a serious lack of snow and there is no way that Xander Price is going to be the one thing that breaks her.
