On his way to his nephew's 100-day celebration banquet, Wei Wuxian was ambushed by Jin Zixun accusing him of putting a curse on the latter.
Even after denying countless times, when Jin Zixun doesn't back away Wei Wuxian loses his cool and a fight breaks out. It doesn't help when his senior sister's husband tries to intervene and almost gets killed by the hands of the ghost general, Wen Ning, if not for someone pushing him away, calming Wen Ning down with a simple touch of hand and freezing all of Jin Zixun's accompaniment on their spots.
What Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen find on Qiongqi Road is an uncanny sight of snowfall, stuck to their place disciples of the Jin clan, a very laid back Wen Ning, Wei Wuxian who looked like a fire-breathing dragon and at the center of it all a girl.
