"I try to laugh about it,
cover it all up with lies.
I try to laugh about it,
hiding the tears in my eyes,
'cause boys dont cry."

Oscar Atwood didnt even want to be in the car when his older brother stole it.

Sure, he wanted to prove that he was just like his brothers. That he was just as brave, just as smart, just as daring, and just as confident as Ryan and Trey were, but Oscar wasnt in the slightest. Oscar was awkward, liked to read, and didnt know how to talk to any girl other than maybe his mom.

But when Trey was fifteen he stole his first car, and when Ryan turned fifteen Trey took him out and stole another. It was practically an Atwood unspoken tradition, so Oscar had to follow.

Oscar mustve been bad luck- thats probably why it crashed and they got caught.

Why do you pick fights with other boys? It's the question Ryan has been running from all his life. The answer will shock you. For as long as Ryan can remember, he's always wanted to be someone special. Now, a promising high school wrestler and a popular drug dealer, he's achieved the life he's dreamed of. He gets to go to all the fun parties, hang out with the cool kids, and be in a relationship with a beautiful girl who he loves. But Ryan's success is going to be bittersweet. A tragedy strikes someone close to him, creating a domino effect of self destruction. Ryan finds himself in a conflict where the repercussions threaten to destroy his life and potentially end it. Creeping in Ryan's thoughts is the source of his ambitions; a terrible secret he's unwilling to address. Go down the rabbit hole. Explore the fascinating chaos. You'll never forget what you read. Coming of Age is about the tragic experiences some teenagers go through and many others are aware of. The story explores themes like identity, ambition, love, trauma, forgiveness, free will, and redemption. Sensitive subject matter like drug addiction, extreme poverty, abuse, and violence are touched on, but in an honest, non-exploitative way. The story is based on my experiences as a teenager dealing mental health issues and the people I knew. Writing is my way to raise awareness of the issues I went through. I want to speak to people who can relate to my story and bring understanding to those that don't.

Isn't it that 'brothers' are supposed to get along with each other? I guess not everyone.... Meet the Carter Brothers: Kyle, Nathan, Drew, Blake, Shane, and Max. They're the sons of Thomas and Samantha Carter, owners of the company, 'Carter Holdings'. They USED to be SUPER close before, until one tragic incident happened 3 years ago. They thought it was all their faults. At a very young age, which was 12, they all started moving out of their mansion in San Antonio to live somewhere else. The four old ones (Kyle, Nathan, Drew, and Blake) have learnt to preside meetings, sign contracts, wear expensive and sophisticated Armani suits or in short words; to do their duties and responsibilities as the successors/ inheritors of the company. And, at the same time, Shane and Max continue their studies. Although they bump into each other in their school and in the company, it seems like Kyle, Nathan, Drew, Blake, Shane, and Max act like they don't even know one another.... What if one day, Sam, Thomas, and the twins moved to Malibu... next to the famous Cimorelli household to be specific and unintentionally, told the new family friends about the problems they were having with their sons? How will the girls react to this? Intrigued by the boys, the Cimorelli sisters decided to help their new neighbors out: by making friends with the boys and trying their bests to get them to express and open up their real feelings and emotions... and that includes having to ask them out. Even if that sounded weird... BUT will these simple 'dates' result into a completely different LOVE STORY?! What if the same tragedy comes into the boys' lives once again? It was a normal day and I was outside walking my german shepherd, Sammie. She had just stopped to take care of her business and I noticed the hooded man who had been following us for quite some time, approach us. I had figured he just didn't want to be rude and pass us, so I didn't mind. Now as he was approaching us, I knew I was wrong. I started to tug on Sammie's leash to get her to hurry up. When she wouldn't budge, I started to panic. I started to pull harder and as the man got closer, he took something out of his pocket. A gun. I screamed as he took aim and fired. Hannah Jansen was 17, a senior in High School. Her family was rich, her dad was a lawyer and her mom, a heart surgeon. She was an only child, and had tons of friends at school. She wasn't the snobbish kind of rich girl. She was sweet and nice to everyone. When Hannah was supposedly, "killed", everyone was devastated. While her father was working hard to find out who did this, everyone else was either grieving, or arranging funeral plans. When a letter came in the mail a week after the incident, everyone was shocked. The letter read: Dear friends and family of Hannah Jansen, I have your daughter here with me at my house. She is in my bedroom tied up and gagged. I have a gun on my bedside table and if you do not agree to my conditions, I will be forced to use that gun. And because I don't want to do that, I want 1 thing, not that hard, right? No. I want $10 million. If you ever want to see your daughter again, leave the money at 4565 Oakwood Rd. on August 1st, 3:00 A.M. Today is June 1st, so you have approximately two months to get this money. If you fail to do this, your beloved daughter shall die. Sincerely, Tyler West P.S. Just to save you trouble, don't even try to search my name or find out where I live, because trust me, it won't work. I don't exist.
