Inspired by Fallout Equestria, the Fallout series, and the Cold War, and as the title suggests, the story takes place during the Cold War. Some chapters were already written, but it's currently being rewritten. The narrative is divided between an alcoholic World War II veteran - formerly a soldier, now a member of Intelligence - and the behind-the-scenes world of equestrian politics.

How does someone learn to be a baby again? To walk again, to play again? And how does a princess learn to be a mother-and to be imperfect? I wrote this fanfic based on a simple question: Why are there so many stories that approach age change with something like, "Oh, I'm a kid again... good to know" and skipping almost the entire childhood and learning process?
