Inspired by Fallout Equestria, the Fallout series, and the Cold War, and as the title suggests, the story takes place during the Cold War. Some chapters were already written, but it's currently being rewritten. The narrative is divided between an alcoholic World War II veteran - formerly a soldier, now a member of Intelligence - and the behind-the-scenes world of equestrian politics.

Princess Celestia, a ruler who has quietly longed to hear the word "Mom," offers to help him find a way home-if such a thing is even possible. Until then, she'll take care of him. I wrote this fanfic based on a simple question: Why are there so many stories that approach age change with something like, "Oh, I'm a kid again... good to know" and skipping almost the entire childhood and learning process?
