A wise man once said that fate is not something that will happen, it’s something that’s happening. If you chase your fate, search for it, run off into the blue trying to see what lay ahead. You’re just a dog chasing your tail. You’ll never catch it.
Vienna Castillion, or Aglaeca, is a wandering ranger. Part dwarf, part wizard, and part shifter, she copes with the ridicule of the world. being called 'monster' and 'mistake' are the usual. But there was a day when her whole life was turned upside down. A day where she learned not to chase her fate, but to embrace it…

Tales of the Forgotten Rider (Vol.1 Darkness Arrives)
This is one of my first published works, inspired by my love for The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and the timeless novels that came before them. This first volume is one of many I wish to continue in the short story series. The story follows a cursed rider - a figure trapped between man and wraith - who wanders the forgotten paths of Middle-earth. Haunted by memories of the life he once had and the shadow he has become, he struggles to hold on to the last fragments of his humanity. Drawn into a fragile bond with an elven healer, the Rider must confront hunters, old powers, and the curse that unravels him with each passing day. His journey is not of heroism alone, but of survival, identity, and the question of what remains when a soul is split in two. Any feedback if given would be wonderful! "You know it won't go to the West," he said dropping his voice. "Maybe you're wrong. Who knows," she shrugged. Her shoulders had slumped but she had managed to not let any tears spill. "Baum knew what he was doing when he made the West wicked, Mary," he hissed. "The East was wicked in that book too, dumbass," Mary retorted. Jacob's hands went into fists to keep from pushing at his hair. The tree behind them began to shake slightly. The ground gave a tiny rumble. *************************************************** Mary's father recently passed. But she is finding out it might not have been from natural causes... Family adversaries threaten everything while influential other worldly authorities pull the strings. Mary will have to work with an unlikely ally from her childhood to navigate their new found powers and reclaim balance. Meanwhile... one dark soul is climbing the ladder of chaos.
