A wise man once said that fate is not something that will happen, it’s something that’s happening. If you chase your fate, search for it, run off into the blue trying to see what lay ahead. You’re just a dog chasing your tail. You’ll never catch it.
Vienna Castillion, or Aglaeca, is a wandering ranger. Part dwarf, part wizard, and part shifter, she copes with the ridicule of the world. being called 'monster' and 'mistake' are the usual. But there was a day when her whole life was turned upside down. A day where she learned not to chase her fate, but to embrace it…

"Baum knew what he was doing when he made the West wicked, Mary," he hissed. "The East was wicked in that book too, dumbass," Mary retorted. Jacob's hands went into fists to keep from pushing at his hair. The tree behind them began to shake slightly. The ground gave a tiny rumble. *************************************************** Mary's father recently passed. But she is finding out it might not have been from natural causes... Family adversaries threaten everything while influential other worldly authorities pull the strings. Mary will have to work with an unlikely ally from her childhood to navigate their new found powers and reclaim balance. Meanwhile... one dark soul is climbing the ladder of chaos.
