Tales of the Forgotten Rider (Vol.1 Darkness Arrives)
This is one of my first published works, inspired by my love for The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and the timeless novels that came before them. This first volume is one of many I wish to continue in the short story series. The story follows a cursed rider - a figure trapped between man and wraith - who wanders the forgotten paths of Middle-earth. Haunted by memories of the life he once had and the shadow he has become, he struggles to hold on to the last fragments of his humanity. Drawn into a fragile bond with an elven healer, the Rider must confront hunters, old powers, and the curse that unravels him with each passing day. His journey is not of heroism alone, but of survival, identity, and the question of what remains when a soul is split in two. Any feedback if given would be wonderful! Jacob's hands went into fists to keep from pushing at his hair. The tree behind them began to shake slightly. Family adversaries threaten everything while influential other worldly authorities pull the strings.
