The original artwork belongs to an artist on Tumblr that I can't find.
This book is a sequel to the original Trollhunters book by Guillermo Del Torro; I wanted to give the og series some flare based on the animated series on Netflix.

Who.." it spoke in a deep rumble, "has awakened me?" Matthäus, in a fearful panic, threw a sweaty finger in the direction of Walter, who didn't seem to refuse the accusation. Its gaze met Lempke's. A mixture of relief and disbelief washed over its tired eyes as they fixated on the unsuspecting man.
"I have," Lempke's confidence was almost smug, "Angor Rot." The being narrowed its eyes, belly rumbling. Its parched tongue flickered across cracked lips as saliva flooded into its mouth: a rare sensation after enduring centuries without sustenance.
"You know my name," its gravelly voice began, mouth salivating more and more, "a shame I will never know yours." Summoning some remaining strength, the famished creature lifted Matthäus closer to its nose to take a whiff. Its trembling limbs betrayed both excitement and trepidation; instincts warned against blindly trusting such fortune, but starvation demanded immediate action.
"What does that--!" Matthäus Scaarbach's inquiry was cut short and sent into a fit of painful screaming. The man's terrified shouts tore through the air as the teeth of Angor Rot ripped through his flesh with a thick squelch. The ravenous beast began to devour the man with feverish intensity. Blood mingled with saliva as it tore chunks of meat from sinew and bone, each bite fueling a flicker of vitality within its emaciated body.

I decided to move away and to try and find an exit but I didn't even take one step back when I heard his voice. "Princess? Is that you?" I saw him raise his head before shooting his eyes onto me. The sudden gaze caused to heart to race while it froze my body as if I have turned into ice. I felt the fear engulf my body, eating me inside out. "You aren't scared of me... Are you?" he asked me, I sensed the envy in his voice. That mixed with his harsh tone caused a wave of goosebumps to course through my body. I wanted to begin by asking him where was I? Why was I here? Why was he here... I wanted to ask him, but I couldn't, the fear was just all too much for me. "Come on... Speak to me... Ask me..." he began. "Ask me 'why am I here' and all of that crap... Entertain me with your fear." I saw him slowly gripping a knife that was on the countertop, with his eyes still on mine. The sides of his mouth slowly began tilting upwards. All the bitterness and the cold, it was all so visible in his eyes. I looked at him in horror, noticing him as he took his first steps towards me. "Talk to me... Because this might be the only time you will ever be able to talk, " he said this sentence in such a calm tone, it caused me once again to shiver with goosebumps. "You're mine," he says huskily in between kisses. I self consciously nod. "Only mine-" He starts kissing and sucking my jaw, and I refrain from letting out a moan. "And you'll never talk to Dimitri or any of the warriors again." I open my eyes wide at his comment, and I push him back with all my strength. *** They said the Big Wolf was bad... I entered the cave and saw a red crystal sealed in ice. "Woah." I whispered. The crystal glowed and the ice shattered. I jumped back and fell to the ground, watching as the ice broke completely. My eyes widened and I looked at my hands. "Did I do that?" I asked, but before I could answer, I heard a guard shout for backup as they had heard the ice shattering. I quickly jumped up and stashed the crystal in my pocket before leaving. I crept to the cave the following day, putting the crystal back into the remains of the ice pillar. As I walked away, the crystal fell, causing it to break into a million pieces. I jumped at the sudden noise and stumbled backwards, my eyes widening as a black smog formed around the crystal. "No, no, no, no! Frick." I desperately tried to grab the remains of the crystal, causing one to cut my hand. "Ow! Shit." I whispered, looking at my bleeding hand. "Tch, tch, tch, poor child." A demonic voice said. I looked up and saw that the black smog had two red eyes and a wide, sick smile that was dripping with venom. "I- who are you?" I asked, backing up. "The one who can help you out of here." It said, stretching out a hand. I looked it up and down and before I could answer, its hand plunged into my heart, causing me to scream out in pain.
