Kira was raised from a young age to be a weapon for humans. She wants more out of life and eventually gets it when a hunter from the stars, a male of her species, arrives to wreak havoc on the only home she's ever known. At his side, she embarks on a journey of self-discovery, learning the horrible truth about her people, and falls in love with the biggest asshole in the entire universe.
Di'kaadh is a decorated hunter in his clan. He wants nothing more than the hunt and to please the gods. When he is sent to Earth to retrieve stolen equipment, he finds more than he bargains for in the form of a female who is far from anything he has ever known about his people. Reluctantly, he finds himself becoming attached to her and eventually developing that dark weakness that is frowned upon by his clan. He fights an internal war with himself that could lead to devastating consequences if he does not act.
