*Kion and Rani have never met in this story* Kion is the son of Simba and Nala, King and Queen of The Pridelands. Kion is always depressed. Nobody knows why, including his best friend Bunga. Until one day, while trying to save his friend, Kion is seriously injured. Everyone thinks he died. But he survived. He knew he had to tell his family he was still alive. So, Kion walks back to Pride Rock, but while crossing a river, he accidentally loses his balance, and tumbles into the river, carrying him farther from his home. Kiongozi, prince of the Pridelands, 3rd cub to Nala and Simba, Leader of the Lion Guard, and defender of the kingdom, was always neglected by his father. His older siblings, Kiara and Kopa, hurt him mentally and physically, and Nala pretended like he didn't exist. Kion hated his life. He did everything for his family, and they still treated him like a nobody. The Lion Guard wasn't any better. They tried to convince him of suicide, and Kion almost went through with it, but he couldn't. Kion hated being treated like this. He couldn't take the abuse or neglect any more. He cried in his grandmother Sarabi's arms every night. She was the only one who cared for him. She tried getting Nala to love him, but Nala refused.
