A Quote That Wanted to Be Poetry is a collection of words caught between thought and verse-a mix of quotes, poems, and reflections that dance on the edge of poetry. Within these pages, emotions take shape through both delicate metaphors and raw, unfiltered truths. Some words were born from fleeting moments, sparked by the sharp pain in my chest left by my ex, others emerged in quiet solitude, whispered by dreams or carried by the rush of water in the shower. And though I sometimes picked up quotes from TikTok, I felt they deserved a bit more love, a bit more depth-so I wove them into something fuller, something that could resonate beyond their fleeting origins. This book is for those who find meaning in scattered thoughts, for those who see poetry in everyday moments, and for those who believe that even a single sentence can hold an entire world.

A collection of poetry inspired by everyday life, love, pain and heartbreak. Basically my thoughts and reflections. Each poem, a reflection of either the words in my heart, the words in my mind, or the words on my tongue. Almost always though, they'll be the words that I want in the air around me. Highest Rank: #53 in poetry! [5/25/2017] Special recognition goes out to: TheCrownOfWinter, CatQueen2020, uhm1212, iamdivergent1abc, simplysear, and pettyhearts. They've been as much a part of this book with their comments and inspiration as the everyday life that influenced it. Trigger Warning: Poems may or may not be depressing, and highly metaphorical.
