Our story begins with Gruner, an orphan boy living in a foster home, starting his morning as he always does - rising before the sunrise to attend to his chores and care for the livestock. While performing his tasks, Gruner's mind often wanders and he daydreams of the world beyond, stirring curious longings within him. Dissatisfied with the prospect of spending his life confined to this small village, one day while in the forest a ferocious storm suddenly erupts. Through the pouring rain and cracks of thunder, Gruner spots a mysterious orb of bright white light. Compelled by intrigue, he trails the glowing sphere deep into the woods until it explodes in a flash, raining down golden dust and revealing a small blue-glowing sphere etched with celestial symbols. The next morning, Gruner presents his curious finding to the village astrologer. After a hasty examination, the old sage warns that the orb possesses mystical powers and will inexorably alter the course of Gruner's destiny. Left with more questions than answers, Gruner is now entangled in a magical mystery as the orb's true purpose - and his own future - remain obscured in the night sky's inky veil. Our hero's adventure has only just begun.
