That night, the Society of Angels was born.
Alandra Ace didn't think much of that night anymore. She no longer looked over her shoulder, at least. And her life had managed to go uphill since then. Promotions had come easily, her family disappeared from her life, even her stalker ex managed to slide out of the picture completely.
But the night eight bullets missed their mark, the eight targets found themselves creating an alliance. Removing all enemies from their own angel's life. Two years later, they thought they'd removed every ugly stain from her life.
Until the first angel showed up, a letter carved into his tongue and his corpse dumped on her doorstep. Her favorite boss at work, who she'd faintly remembered from that night so long ago.

Inspired by an ad I saw one time, about a girl who saved 8 stranger's lives one night, and didn't realize until a couple years later that they'd been protecting her life since then. Not sure what else the story was about, it was one of those weird IG ads and the story it linked to wasn't the same story (unless it was about an absurd amount of x-rated topics).
