Clay finds himself alone, seeing his happiness slip away from one simple mistake. George doesn't have an easy home life, after noticing signs of possibly a muscle disease, his only wish is to get help for it, however his parents deny every word that is brought up about it. Yet, it gets worse by the day as George quickly looses any hope left. When Clay is left traumatised by his past, he thinks nothing will bring back the same happiness he once felt, but when George moves into the farm he often visits, that same joy that was extinguished with the fire, sparks again... Clay had been closeted all his life and planned for it to remain that way. But, with having homophobic parents it was seemingly impossible to ever find the happiness he longed for. After being outed to the only people he now disliked the most, his parents react worse than expected and Clay falls into a pit of loneliness when he gets sent to conversion therapy to "turn him straight again". George had homophobic parents too and goes through the same. When times are at its worst somehow these two meet each other and now they are isolated from reality in the therapy school.
