I thanked Janet again for taking me with her before jumping in the back of the car, as slowly as I could, awkwardness making my movements even clumsier than usual.
I sat down and shut the door managing a record of bumping my head on the car roof only once before looking at the figure I was practically squashing into therefore not achieving my non-awkwardness entrance goal.

I beg in a quiet voice, looking down at my feet. The next thing I see are his black combat boots right in front of my shoes. I look up into his eyes and he looks down into mine confusion written all over his face. "How come you aren't running yet?" He questions searching my eyes. I look up at Todd's window and grimace when I see him gently pushing Jennifer into his room. So that's where he went.
