Christopher Beaumont is one such creature, a vampire from the Georgian Era who came to America with the first colonists. When Persephone's Coven discovers him trapped in a collapsed mineshaft, both of their worlds collide. Persephone feels a strange draw to the mysterious man they found in the mountain, one that threatens to shatter their world around them.
Persephone Ames lives a simple life: they have a shop where their coven works selling magical wares disguised as the mundane, an apartment with their cat and dipshit boyfriend, and they have a hot regular who comes in to see them at least twice a week. The Coven throws parties at 'The Lair', a renovated warehouse Persephone bought for them, and almost everyone knows them as that one chill person who thinks they're a witch. The kicker? Persephone is a witch, one doing their best to live their life while avoiding the constant threat of monster hunters. They've been doing this for seventy years, though, and they've gotten really good at hiding themselves and other magical creatures.
