Audrey Remington is a 14 year old girl who recently moved to Nashville, Tennessee. A few months earlier, she was in a horrid car crash. Her mom, dad, and little brother did not survive. Audrey was diagnosed with a case of PTSD, a brain disorder, which resulted in multiple flashbacks of the disaster, avoiding activities, and the assumption that she was in constant danger. Now living with her aunt, Audrey is enrolled in therapeutic horseback riding. Her psychologist believes this will slowly help regain Audrey's trust with the outside world. Audrey soon finds that her hopes lie deep within a bay thoroughbred gelding, named Excalibur. Together, they learn that trust can be gained overtime.
