Ties and Toads

In a territory plagued by the menace of cane toads, a once-thriving rogue group faces despair as the poison spreads through their prey, claiming the lives of beloved warriors and apprentices alike. Slatepaw, a boisterous apprentice with dreams of exploration, is shattered when his idol, Tinyflame, falls victim to the toxic tide. Driven by revenge, he sets out to confront the toads, oblivious to the lurking dangers.

As the kin grapples with the fallout of their losses, from the deteriorating medicine-cat to the self-centered leader, the kin must navigate the treacherous waters of grief and vengeance. The once unified kin now teeters on the brink of chaos, led by the bloodthirsty Ivystar and her reluctant deputy, Thrush, who struggles to hold their crumbling society together.

With the stakes rising and the shadows of betrayal lurking, cats find themselves entangled in a web of ambition and despair. Allies turn to foes, and the true nature of loyalty is tested as the kin confronts the ghosts of their past.
