Scientists have found a virus in humans all over the world. However, there has been no effects in any people for years. Governments everywhere have created tests that are taken once a month. To see if the virus evolves in anyone in the world.
An organization called Colour came together to keep track of the "Chains" virus, to keep it contained if necessary.
Alaska Simmons is one of 99 other subjects between the ages of 11-19 that had been tested positive around the world. Colour had immediately taken her and the others to their facility to run tests and find out exactly what this virus is all about and to eliminate it entirely.

And there's no one to stop it. people began to rebel against the government, and the planet grew cold, with a variant of the virus polluting the climate, causing acid rains and at times, chilling temperatures. for three years, scientists searched and tested for an antidote, and the didn't find it, until now. However, some would call it a cure, and some would call it a curse. The scientists of course needed subjects to make sure it would work, and they selected teenagers and young adults all across the world for it between the ages of 15 and 23, only to find, the antidote had an insane side effect.
