Caitlin and her brother Jasper weren't meant to be in the maze and the creators never wanted to put them there. They asked to be there because when the Gladers thought Teresa was there last they became more active. Caitlin and Jasper are the creators spies sent there to slow down the process but end up speeding it up. Caitlin never liked Wckd even though she was always told Wckd is good she never believed it and being in the Glade helped her fight for freedom. Although plans change when she finally gets inside.

The Maze Within {Book 1}
(Book 1) Life was as normal as normal could get for the boys in the Glade. The Runners ran out into the gigantic Maze surrounding them, people went about their day as usual. Everything seemed to be the way it was the day before, only it wasn't. Little did the boys know that W.I.C.K.E.D had other plans for them. Other plans that would change the way the Glad operated and went about their day. Elizabeth, one of W.I.C.K.E.D's long-term workers is sent up into the Maze, making her the first official girl to come up in the lift. This makes the boys think differently about how they run the Glade. However what will happen when the boys discover Elizabeth isn't what she seems? How will the young girl cope with finding out that she is different to everyone else around her? She had something inside of her that makes her different, different from anyone else to come up into the Maze. What will the boys think when Elizabeth is in fact someone they know? The Mother, The Father, and The Daughter. You. But due to the flare your parent's died, killing themselves in hope you would be safe. So you were all alone, stuck in the maze with the grievers. But they never hurt you, because W.I.C.K.E.D never got to you. Grievers are programmed to harm and or kill people from the glade. But that doesn't include you. You stayed in the maze for the rest of your life, until people started to show up. You mostly stay away from the gladers, until you save a certain boy that sets your world on fire. Everything you knew started to change. And now you are wanted by W.I.C.K.E.D. So make your choice. Before Thomas, a girl was sent by mistake, with nothing but a vial of antidote in her hands and frantic scribbles on her arm with warnings for the Gladers. Her coming marks the beginning of a new era in the Maze. A drama featuring an OC, some Grievers, would-you-rather questions, and a little bit of romance. --- This is an idea that I've been playing out in my head for two years, now. It originally started as inserting myself into the world of The Maze Runner, and progressed from there. When I would work my summer job, I would daydream about the happenings, conversations, and friendships developing naturally over a period of time, and found myself engaged in the drama.
