"I'll hold you now, okay? I'll be that someone for whatever you need."

Indi, an aspiring artist and the daughter of one of the best baseball players of all time, is in her junior year of high school. She's always stressed over keeping up with her academics, but something about this year is different. The anxiety is at an all time high, especially since this is the school year that matters the most. She hardly has time for family, let alone friends, and definitely NOT romance.

Except, when her brother's best friend Ezra begins hanging around the house more often, a love story begins to seem a little more realistic in her life than it has in all the years before him.

For the first time since high school started, she begins to consider whether or not her studies are more important than the memories that she's missing out on.

Growing up, all he wanted was to be loved as much as he loved others. What with an emotionally and physically absent step mother and a distant father who doesn't realize his son isn't a straight-A making machine, Chase Lawrence has developed a bad habit of stressing way too much over school work and having a burning desperation for a distraction. That didn't tend to mix well with his current girlfriend of three months who he's never gone on a single date with because she always had an excuse. Then, all of a sudden the endless loop of exhaustion and disappointment breaks when Chase finds himself magnetically drawn towards his Coach's son, and looking at him a lot more than someone already in a relationship should.
