I just stared at him for a minute, his brown curls, freckles, and his perfect face. My cheeks heated up again. 

"Nico, why do I feel like this?" I utter. 

"Like what Lia? Are you ok?" He says panicked. " I'm ok I just -" I pause, "When ever you do certain things, my cheeks heat up, my heart beats fast, and my stomach feels like it's spinning." I explain slowly. 

His expression calms, and he just stares at me for a second, like he is trying to figure out what to say. 

"That just means you like me." That confuses me more, "Of course I like you, you saved me." I tilt my head. He sighs, "You have a crush on me." He says slowly. 

This is so awkward, but I wanna understand, "Why would I wanna crush you?!" I blurted. 

He shook his head, "No, you want to be more than friends..." He breathed. "Like best friends?" I questioned. He chuckled, "Like, date me," Nico affirmed. 

Oh. Now I get it. I stay silent this time and look down.
