She would count the stars, one by one, one by one, one by one. Until she would trip on a rock and scrape her knees. She didn't like scraping her knees. She also didn't like when she walked into the kitchen and saw her Mother shoot a man in the chest, blood soaking the ground. Staining her clothing. Staining her past. Painting her world red.
Elfy didn't like being forced to testify in court after witnessing a robbery. Elfy didn't like when she was kidnapped. Elfy doesn't like a lot of things. Luckily for Elfy a lot of things were beginning to change in her life. Whether they were changing for the better or worst, Pennie was slowly learning as a chain of events unfolds her past, her mother, and the rope of lies that leads to where she is standing now.
Elfy is forced into a world she doesn't understand after her kidnapping, and must learn the ropes to this new life she has been shoved into. Whether that means navigating not getting killed, or finding the truths of her past that seem to haunt her they all seem to lead to one thing. Pennies Mom.
