They stood, arm in arm as the elements wreaked war around them. Waves savagely crashed at their feet, the wind raged into swirling tornados, the earth shook and cracked below and burning flames reached out with their fiery palms.
The four teenagers seemed oblivious to the chaos.
Shadows advanced towards the group, seeping through what seemed more like a barrier than an elemental war. Their protection deemed useless against the thick blanketing fog which now rushed faster, hungrier, towards them.
One by one - the shadows enveloped each human, and as they fell, their element went with them.
Only one remained, her pitch black hair whipped around her face in a frenzy as high speed winds thrashed across the field where her fallen friends lay. Lightning flashed, targeting the forthcoming shadow which hardly faltered.
Like the others, she fell lifeless to the ground. The final crackle of electricity flashed and struck her body.

A Destiny 2 fanfiction. Part 1: New Light. When the Traveler arrived, a spherical deity with paracausal powers known as the Light, humanity prospered and thrived. Their lifespans tripled and they expanded their civilization amongst the stars and to other planets. This was known as the Golden Age until an ancient evil known as the Darkness that hunted the Traveler finally found it in our solar system. Everything was destroyed and this was known as the Collapse. Humanity would've become extinct if the Traveler hadn't of sacrificed itself, pushing back the Darkness with its Light. And with the last of the Traveler's strength, it created Ghosts, little mechanical beings to search for deceased people who are capable of wielding the Light as a weapon. Ghosts resurrect these people from the dead and they protect what's left of humanity with their powers. These people are known as Guardians. This story is told from a Ghost's point of view who's Guardian is a trigger happy Hunter. Her Light is strong but her soul defiant. Forged in the Light yet desired by the Darkness. But when she comes face to face with her destiny, will she make the right choice or be swallowed by fate? Liar, killer, murderer.. or a savior? --- This story is the first year of the protagonist's new life within the Unruly Light saga. •Contains graphic gore, lots of cussing, and sexual interactions.Concluída
Just Me Against the World
Lara has always lived in the shadows, convinced she isn't enough. The world feels overwhelmingly loud, too vivid, and far too big for someone like her. ((Originally, Phoenix)) “Leave me alone!” Her form flickered in the dim light. The brothers shared a look. “All right,” one started. “Just let us say something first. We know you have powers; we can sense them on you. We can do this because we have powers too. We call it magic. If you want, we can show you.” “Prove it then.” ~^~^~^~^~ There was a monster inside of her – a dark thing that always tried to claw its way out, ripping her insides to shreds as it went. She found no relief from it, maybe because she had no happy memories to find solace in, nor anyone to find comfort in. And yet, Amber could be the catalyst to setting a series of events that had been prophesied centuries before, into motion, bringing together three more people – the embodiments of the Emblems – to bring magic back to life. But in this underlying world of Adepts, Demons and secrets within secrets, unlocking their potential will be harder than you think. ~^~^~^~^~^ So, this is my 2014 Nanowrimo story, which is basically an attempt to rewrite Phoenix, where it shall go through major changes in plot, characters as well as effects of my new-and-improved writing style. UNDENIABLY DESTINED
Her vision blurry, eyes teary, ears ringing, as her head starts buzzing from the hard impact. She watches, as the red shining droplet falls and taints everything in its own darkness. She hears muffled voices, just as she feels a tingling sensation when she realises a hand on her shoulder and it's owner. A sob leaves her lips, when she realises what she has to do. His voice sounds in her ears, as she memorizes that baritone for the last time directed to her, "Are you okay?", with care. She pulls her hand, gathering her energy as silent pained tears falls down her face concentrating her powers. Suddenly, he jerks and falls stiff on his back, unable to move his body. His eyes widened as he registers what she is going to do, all while whispering, "No, no, please don't...". Grabbing a tree, she stands up painfully slow with tears running down her face uncontrollably. She takes a step towards him and sits on his torso, as she wails for everything happened to him and for everything she could have had, but now can't. To the Gods, for cursing her with her damned destiny. He slowly cups her face, and joins their heads released from the powers unknown to her, as he comforts her, "Don't worry, we will be over this, together." Her sobs turns quiet, just when suddenly again his body jerk back in same position, as she apologize, "Sorry, but I can't be selfish enough, not for you, for me and for us." As she slams her fisted kuckles down his head again and again.Concluída

In a world of gods, pirates, and blessings, Phoenix Finch lives in a small coastal town secluded from the rest of the world. In a town that values rules, traditions, and law above all else, Phoenix has never known of anything else. When he is both rescued and kidnapped by the most fearsome pirate of them all, Nico Maheras, The West Wind, he is brought into a world so unlike his own. Scared and alone, he lashes out, and the captain lashes right back. As he is introduced to more and more of the crew, he finds that maybe, Pirates aren't as bad as he thought, and maybe the captain isn't as scary as he seems. He begins to settle into the ship, finding friendship and freedom. But when his sister is kidnapped by Redcoats for her blessing, he must take action and save her along with his new friends. But Phoenix will soon find out there is more to himself, the captain, and this story, than it seems. - - - This is the first draft of my novel, which took about a year to write. As such, this is somewhat unedited, and needs improvement. Constructive criticism is both wanted and appreciated. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it. Holland meet this guy called Logan in the beginning of her journey to help her fight off the evil zombie to stop them from sucking all the lights out of the world. With her developing feelings for this mysterious tall ,dark and handsome young man but somewhere in the middle of batting side by side with each other will they let their feelings for each other blossom into something more? Will she overcome her fears in order to save one of her friend? Or will it be to late ? "So you are telling me that I am the chosen one?" I asked him once feeling shocked and confused at the same time because I never a confident bone in my body.
