𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬

Thunder boomed in the sky. A silver veiny lightning tearing through the sky claimed the pitch-black night as its kingdom.

The cab stopped, and the driver announced, "You have reached your destination, miss."

The lady sitting in the back seat handed him the cash and replied in her stern voice, "Thank you, sir, and you can keep the change."

Bunching her black dress in her hands, she exited the car and set her foot on the gravelly ground where the little stones crushed beneath her black stilettos.
The car whirred to life and left her there all alone, atop the cliff.

Her gaze shifted to the pitch black in front of her. Black dead eyes stared at nothing in particular; that was what anyone would have thought until another lightning flash hit the sky and lit the empty and consuming black of the night.

A gigantic and magnificent castle came into view. It looked haunted and eerie at this hour. Dangerous and daunting, as the woman was staring at it. She tilted her head up and looked at the sky; grey clouds had covered the black sky; it was about to rain cats and dogs.

Her black form, which looked like a shadow, moved towards the precipice of the cliff. She moved like a lithe panther, aware of the danger but undeterred. Her movements halted as the base of her stiletto touched the edge of the ground. One more step, and she would fall down the cliff to death.

She closed her eyes and inhaled as she forced herself to remember that ghastly night.

Licks of burn touched her.

"Run! Run!"
