She hesitated but eventually recited her number. He typed it in and sent her a quick text so she'd have his.
"See you around, Avery," he said with a small smile before walking out of the classroom.
Avery stared after him, her heart fluttering in a way she didn't fully understand. For the first time in a long while, someone had noticed her. And she wasn't sure what to make of it.

Life was unbearable but this is how it started..... It was just ordinary day in school. My first day back now in my senior year before I head off to college. The last class was English one of my favourite subjects. Half way through the teacher left us to go to the office after a phone call had been dialled.
