The Pro's and Cons of Being Yours

I had this idea for a long time, a story about two ordinary people, like, their lives are just normal, no magic spells, no crazy demons, no "I'm the main character so therefore I'm special and/or have a dark secret". Just normal people living somewhat normal lives, because lets be honest, do any of us have normal lives?
