I would like to cite swedish author John Ajvide Lindqvist: Everything in my book really happened, just in different way.
The story is about the plight of a fifteen-year-old boy in a correctional facility, where he got there in such a way that he himself does not know how and where he find himself surrounded by people, who awake inside of him tendencies, which he would like to kept hidden.
Although it will appear that way, it does not take place in Russia, Ukraine or Belarus, although most of the characters are Russian. I don't want to place it exactly in time either, but the clues and hints will be there. According to the signs, the reader can have an idea of the direction the poor boy's fate will take. I hope not that you will like it, but that it will interest you and maybe even force you to think about current and quite recent phenomena, prejudices (I'm not saying that you have them), stigmas and the past that many of us have in common.

His torture was their entertainment. His pain was what they thrived on. Then it went way too far, and he ran. There was only one person he trusted, and it was the boy he met at school on his first day there. He barely knew this boy, but when he needed a friend, this sweet, raven haired boy told him the most important word that he hadn't heard in a long time. "You're safe." Safe was something Alex hadn't felt since he was a child, and even then, after the truth all came out, he realized he had never been safe in the first place. Alex, a lonely 17 year old with a heart problem and a lot of anxiety is hated by nearly everyone in his school. It was stupid, he knew that, but his anxiety and depression told him otherwise. Told him that he deserved to be hated, truly. He still longed for a friend though. He'd heard a rumor about some stupid party that any other time, he wouldn't be interested in.
