Oako's feet crunched through the snow beneath his feet. Although it is the middle of winter, he offered to find the first hunt of the week.

He wished that things were different. He wished that three weeks ago... The dark sickness hadn't come. The other tribes had tried to warn them, but in doing so, infected his people. First came the coughing. It engulfed the silent night air the fist night the messages came to warn them. He heard his father turning and shifting in his bed. And muttering. He imagined his worried forehead, that he knew too well.

~A WIP and I'm just going to see where it goes! Overall I'm aiming for a natural, pre-historic world, more deeply connected to animals and the world around us, as I have just read Wolf Brother and was entranced and want to read the rest of the series!~

29 parts Complete

(Completed) "What are you hiding?" I looked at him in the eyes. "My life." -------------------------------------------------------------- When Catherine's father told her that they will be going to Montana to hunt this year, she was thrilled. She would get to see her friends, animals and most importantly her boyfriend. What happens when they get up there and her father is finding out what his daughter has been all these years? What will her father think of her when he finds out? Will he disown her? Or will he accept her the way she is? Will her parents allow her to live in Montana with her loved ones? Secrets will unfold as the days go by. But the real question is.... Will her father look at her the same? Will they ever have the same relationship that once they had before?
