That's something Asra Novak had learned at a very young age. He saw outcomes to bad choices-his parents, being so young when they had him and got married, their lives torn apart and the blame placed on their son. There was his own choice-the choice to date Evan Portman, a man who was five years older than him at nineteen, while Asra was only fourteen. He saw it in the way he flinched around older men and shied away from dating, but never flirting-because teasing people was safer than committing to a relationship. There were a lot of bad choices that were made, and a lot of bad outcomes.
But he also saw the good choices.
He saw them when Hank Anderson took in a ragged, terrified fourteen-year-old kid in after the child had run away from his abusive boyfriend. He saw it in the way Chris Miller was nice to the weird kid with a bad past. He saw it in the way Gavin Reed saved that weird kid's life twice over in the span of a day.
There were a lot of bad decisions. But there were also a lot of good ones.
And now Asra has to make a few choices of his own.

Predecessor (Connor x Reader)
You were never supposed to exist. An RK700. An earlier model meant to do Connor's job, but scrapped before you ever got the chance to leave the assembly line. Deemed a failure. Tossed in the dump. But you rebuilt yourself, piece by piece, and carved out a new life doing what you were made for: solving crimes. You knew working at the DPD was risky, but passing as human and hiding in plain sight shouldn't be too hard... until CyberLife sends in a new partner. The android who replaced you.
