What happens when lovers are separated?

Elias Cardell, well known as Sir Cardell, has been training to be a knight since he was a young boy to live up to the expectations of his father, former Knight of Ashgate, the Grace of Ethistan. And as Sir Cardell's training continued, he excelled in combat and chivalry, earning the respect of his fellow knights and the admiration of the people of Ethistan. His skill with a sword was unmatched, and his dedication to his duties unwavering. However, despite his success as a knight, Elias carried a heavy burden with him.
During a fierce battle against an invading army, Elias had nearly lost his life. The memories of the war haunted him, and he suffered terrifying nightmares of the tragedies that had occurred on the battlefield. The weight of his experiences weighed heavily on his soul, and he struggled to find peace in his heart.
Love Arthur, the servant, working for none other than the King himself since she was a little girl, was filled with unremarkable loneliness. She had no remaining family. nobody to love her, to call hers. Until, one day, Sir Cardell and Love Arthur stumble upon each other. Elias immediately feels a passion towards her; and as does she. Like two puzzle pieces fitting perfectly together, they cannot stay away from one another.

Yet the threat of war is looming around the kingdom, and when Elias is called into battle once more, he feels his whole world could break apart.

- Elias lifts my chin up with his thumb, making me gaze into his beautiful eyes and taking my lips into a soft grasp. His lips feel so wonderful against mine, like two puzzle pieces that were meant to fit together. He pulls away, leaving me gasping for air. "We're gonna get caught . . ." The King and Elias's comrades are on the other side of this wall. "As long as you're quiet, we'll be fine." He whispers as pulls away, taking my hand and leading me to the bed that is situated in the middle of the room. -
