Long before the fall of SHIELD, Baron Von Strucker became aware of the team that Phil Coulson had formed. Amused, Von Strucker offhandedly suggested to Daniel Whitehall at the bimonthly poker night that creating a like team would not be a bad idea. Eventually the idea gave birth to Team Lernia, a task force dedicated to studying metahumans as well as subverting SHIELD. The team comprises of a genetically modified clone of Arnold Schwarzenegger, a Chinese housewife/martial artist, a pacificistic Pakistani WMD expfert, an ex-pornstar turned bioweapons researcher of mixed ethnicity, and a overweight Filipino fangirl hacker.
