Emily Charrington and her family are hard workers, with Emily gone to boarding school and her mom and dad always at work she decides on her Christmas Break to go on a family vacation. She brings the idea up to her parents and they agree, but they don't have the time to schedule something like that, so she tries to get their attention.
After Emily finally works it out with her parents she decides she wants to get away from the hot weather in California. Mr. and Mrs. Charrington agree to go to Colorado and visit the Rocky Mountains and go skiing.
Things don't seem to be going her way and it doesn't get much easier either. on their way they come across a harsh winter storm. their radio went out and they don't have any satellite on their phones, so they couldn't call for help if they got stuck. An hour and a half later. they discover two headlites coming towards them and it just so happened to be a plow. BAM!
Emily has just been orphaned. As soon as Jason, her boyfriend, hears about the news he rushes to St. Lutherans, the hospital Emily is being treated at. He turns to the doctor looking scared. "Um... doc? What happened?!"
"Emily and her family were on a trip to Colorado and they got in a car crash with a plow, her parents have died and she hasn't woken up yet. It's all if she chooses to wake up."
"Wake up Emily, please! I cant loose you!"
