Echo Sommers is living what most would consider a dream: She's been transported from her normal life of Recent High School Graduate into a world where she's not only a fairy but a fairy princess. Her birth mother - an enigma Echo knows nothing about - has spirited her through a portal into Solimor, where a throne sits waiting for Echo to fill it. A throne left vacant because the rightful heir, her half-sister, Mairisa, has just been assassinated.

This is only the beginning of the nightmare. A mysterious sickness is sweeping through the fairies, one that transforms their flesh into copper. Light is a finite resource, and one on which Solimor is rapidly running low. Worst of all, Echo discovers the portal she's come through only opens once every year, leaving her stranded.

Desperate not to make herself a target in this strange new land, Echo knows she needs to figure out why her sister was killed so she herself doesn't wind up the next dead royal. There's only one person who might know the answer: Jase, the assassin's imprisoned son. When Echo promises him freedom in exchange for information, she gets swept up in a flood of secrets and intrigue that could not only get her killed - but every last fairy in Solimor along with her.

Gwyneth had always felt connected to her faith, a higher power presiding over her. That faith had shaken that devastating day those years ago, the day that went on to haunt her every nightmare for years to come. She's still trying to come back from it, to not only restore her faith in life and love, but her faith in herself. The sanctity of her spirit- she prayed for resolve. Every punch was a prayer. Every mile was a hymn. Until her knuckles bled and her knees gave. Azriel had been surrounded by darkness his whole life, a poison on his world, on his being. He exercised restraint in his every waking moment, banishing that darkness within himself. Some guessed of the strain it put on him, but no one knew the extent of it, how deep his scars ran. It was better this way, he was sure. He had always thought that if there were a higher power- which he wholly doubted- such deities must loathe him to have burdened him such darkness. He hadn't much faith in the gods anyway, much less faith that he could sway their opinion on him. But Gwyneth and Azriel did have one thing in common: the quiet fight within themselves. They only knew one way: to go about it alone, couldn't fathom letting another in. But there's a magic in finding someone who is your equal but opposite, something transforming. And frankly, Gwyneth and Azriel could both use a little magic. All characters owned by SJM in the ACOTAR series. Story takes place after the events of ACOSF. Aligns with the events in my other fic: A Storm of Flames and Deceit. I haven't finished Crescent City, so this story takes place outside of the events of those books as well. CONTENT WARNING ⚠️ Mentions of r*pe, use of profanity, explicit content, sexual content, violence, torture, mentions of suicidal thoughts and depression, mentions of self harm

Thranduil has been having the same dream for three hundred years - dark blue eyes. A chance attack on one of the villages in his realm puts him in front of the face behind those eyes, and he panics. Untold to anyone, he has fallen in love with those eyes over the centuries, but feels he can't act on his feelings because of his deceased wife. Instead, he treats the elleth in question with contempt and is rude and mean to her. She too has a secret. The prophecy passed on by her dying mother states that she will have a strong magic awakened only when she has truly bonded with her soul mate. What happens when she discovers that the soulmate in question is none other than the arrogant, cold-hearted elf King? Will she be able to thaw his chilled heart enough for him to let her in? Or will he keep his mask of indifference firmly in place and remove her once and for all? Elu - Sindarin for blue - battles for her place in the world and in Thranduil's as he does everything he can to push her away. Will he give in and realise that he needs his little Bluebird? Will he give in and let love Burn Again?
