They've gone through eight Imperial bases in the last fifteen days, but Echo, Hunter, and Wrecker won't stop, not until they find Omega and bring her back. But on the ninth base, they walk into a trap. Echo doesn't know what to make of the dark-armored cyborg waiting for them, or his insistence on helping once he hears about Omega. And why does he seem so familiar?

In the quest to find Omega, the remainder of the Bad Batch stumble on an old Republic base while following the trail of what they hope is of a surviving Jedi. Instead, they walk into a Sith trap, and awaken back in the Clone Wars. Finding one another scattered across the galaxy may be more difficult than it seems.

What if Omega was never created like the rest of Clone Force 99? What if they come across another small child, one who wields a dark, dangerous secret? Would The Bad Batch even go through extreme measures to protect her? After all, who knew clones are so paternal? Emilee, a lone child on the run from who even knows. The Bad Batch doesn't even know the horrors of the past she's been through. Emilee is a frightened child who has been alone for so long and being hunted by many bounty hunters. Hunter vowed to her that she will always be protected as long as she is with him and his brothers. But can she or will she ever be able to trust him? Would he still even have the same sentiment once he finds out her secret or is Clone Force 99 another group she has to run from?

Six grueling months of separation have changed the Batch. Crosshair is done. He's given up trying to fight, feeling as if there's no point in even trying. Omega is fueled. She's ready to come home to her family, no matter the risks. Althea is tired. Tired of losing people, tired of Hunter's overprotective nature, tired of failing. Hunter is desperate. Finding Omega leads the team to dangerous places, and he's terrified of losing the family he has left. Wrecker is worried. He wants nothing more than for his family to be put back together, but with Omega and Crosshair missing, Tech gone, Echo with Rex, and Hunter and Althea's relationship being strained, that proves to be more difficult than he'd like.

One of Hemlock's operatives, Crosshair remembers nothing of his past. At least not until he runs into what's left of Clone Force 99. Bit by bit, he starts to remember his brothers and begins to realize that another one of the CXs working with him may have once been one of them.

The Batch lost Crosshair on a mission shortly after Echo joined. They thought him dead, grieved him. But Crosshair survived, and it's not until after the Empire's formation, after the Batch has walked away, that they find him again. Crosshair isn't the same as he once was, but then, neither are they. Only together can they mend their broken pieces.

In which Crosshair became a vampire somewhere after Bracca and turns Hunter, but nothing goes according to what either of them hoped.

It's been months since the formation of the Empire. Months since Crosshair's life fell apart and was pieced back together with their new little sister. As the Bad Batch searches for a home amidst the chaos, for peace amidst themselves, an assassin picks up their trail, and there's only one place that can lead them - back to the Inquisitors.
