Rody goes back to working for Vince after Manon never answered him, he still needed the job after all. He slowly forms a friendship with Vince, and eventually tells him his favorite food. Which gives Vince the perfect idea for what he can cook for Rody. (Past chapter 31 is all bonus chapters.) [Dead Plate Fanfic Post-Ending One. This has a lot of angst, and does not have a happy ending. However, I plan to make another fanfic of these two later, that does end happily. I also plan to make a fanfic of Cold Front, a game made by the same creator as Dead Plate]

This fic is a continuation of ending one: Table for one. Rody goes back to work at the Bistro, because well he needs the job, to fix up his place (and also most likely mental state). Over the time he's back, he and Vince form more of a closer bond. In the end they get together YIPPIEEEE (I won't hit you with angst in this one I'm not THAT mean(I'll put it in a diff fanfic)) Also since I'm again THAT nice, I'm gonna let Manon live(but in the hospital😋)

Vincent once a timid boy who never had to work for anything, now finds himself kicked out of his prestigious home due to his identity. Suddenly faced with the dread that is having to survive alone, he desperately searches for a job. When the local newspaper writes that 'La Gueule de Saturne' is looking for a waiter, Vincent applies for the job. He takes a gamble and hopes that Rody will at least entertain him, for old time's sake. Rody cannot resist, even though he should. Vincent is a force he cannot resist, like a bright flame tantalizingly dancing before him and urging him to come closer, despite the fact he will get burnt. Rody cannot resist this beautiful flame's incessant warmth. It is not his fault he has always had a strange fascination with fire.

What if Manon had soundly broken up with Rody and didn't rebound with Vince? Would interest have begun to develop between the two organically rather than Rody forcing himself through work for Manon while Vincent's interest in him was tempered by his desire to learn the secret to reacquiring taste? Without the dark undercurrents and maybe with a little bit of empathy, could things be different for them? Vincent had his sweet moments afterall. And Rody could be kinder and more curious when Manon wasn't involved. Neither of them are by any means completely stable and faultless, but maybe a solid foundation could have made all the difference. -This story will contain light violence and swearing as Vincent is a bit of a jerk at times. Future chapters MAY also contain NSFW content, just be aware that I intend for this to be a slow-ish burn just because I don't want to rush it. Mostly ill be focusing on fluff and romance because these two deserve that. Due to work and just life in general, updates may be off and on but the plan is to update every Monday!
