The moisture barrier is the second layer of protection and can protect the firefighter from all kinds of liquids. The thermal liner is the final layer in turnout gear, but it is just as important as the other layers. This layer does the most in terms of providing thermal protection from the fire heat. I get into the back of the fire truck my chief is the one driving. Their he is climbing into the truck siting right beside me. Who is he you may ask. Someone I had my eyes on for awhile, but I'm so nervous to say anything.

IT lets go of me, my head hits the ground again, no sound echos this time. IT's mouth movies, but my ears ring, so I can't hear IT. Everything is blurry and movies too much. I can't focus on anything. IT looks at me, IT's eyes are all gray. IT smirks and stands all of the way up, towering over me. I pull myself up and wobble away from IT on unsteady feet. I look back to see IT laughing, watching me walk away. I can't hear her terrible laughter, and I don't want... to... I fall over, feeling woozy. My head spins and I sway as I try to stand. I look back again, to see that the fog has covered my path, and I can only see a couple of inches away from my face. I blow out air and fall over. * * * * 13 year old Colten, takes a shortcut through the field next to his house on his way home. But why can't he reach his destination?
