All Hallows' Eve - October 30th 

A gentle breeze rushes through your hair as you merrily play in the piles of leaves yet to be swept away by the wind. A childlike joy lingers, yet to be snatched.

"It's supper time!" Mother calls from the open door, holding a tilted hand over her eyes as they catch the setting sun.

Amongst you sits a little girl, her black hair tossed around as she played outside.

"Alex," Mother says, a smile in her voice. "You have a leaf in your hair." She softly laughs as she carefully draws it out.

Alex will be gone, it is inevitable, let her be the last.
