It has been almost 2 whole years since the attack on woodsboro and the traumatizings event Tara Carpenter needed to undergo. Loosing her best friend, Amber, her ex, wes, and most importantly almost loosing her sister. 

After graduating, Sam insisted on leaving woodsboro for good with Her, Tara, Mindy, and Chad to New York where nobody would know them, where they would be completely invisible. Life had been amazing since then, everyone made new friends, especially Tara who spent most of her time partying to ease push past her trauma which Sam insisted on talking about it.

Tara disliked Jaylnn Cruz from the moment Chad and Mindy got along with her. it was nothing necessarily about her but the fact she couldn't trust anyone anymore. Her friends and Sam, yes, but normal people she started to see as a threat and Jaylnn Cruz was very high up there. the way she was the most popular woman on Uni, a star athlete, a top student, the life of the party, she was perfect and Tara knew it. Too perfect. But she also could not deny the fact she had recently been developing a crush on her that she wished nothing but to burn in a fire and move on but for some reason she couldn't. She knew there was something deeper to her than this perfect image she displayed for herself and she wished to indulge in it, but how?

Jaylnn knew she wasn't perfect, no matter how much she put up a perfect image of herself as such and it always revealed itself when she ended up covered in blood. She wasn't perfect. she was obsessive, controlling, and an egomaniac who couldn't stand the sight of a woman she loved being with another man or women and when Tara came along she found that same feeling bubbling inside of her, the need to make Tara hers.
