The continent of Wiven holds 5 major Kingdoms:
Panon, a small kingdom made up of mainly warriors who protect its people from demonic beasts.
Drulia, who mostly consists of magic users, it holds the largest magic school in all of the planet.
Wretia, a kingdom where elves rule over the wilderness
Mesea, that's main resource is fishing, they are simple people who live in harmony with the other four kingdoms.
And Thescota, a kingdom that for hundreds of years was run on slavery of magical beings of all kinds. *This* is where our tale begins.
Originating as a safe haven from demons and the Fae, according to legend. After Thescota became its own nation, it set an all-out attack on the demons and Fae defeating and ruthlessly slaughtering half of their kind, and taking those who were left behind as slaves. The Thestcotans used iron weapons to beat any Fae that would disobey their rule, while demons would be forced to drink holy water blessed by high priests or saints should they resist their captors.
After nearly 300 years, the newly appointed king, who had fallen in love with a demon woman, sought to free the slaves and make Thescota a safe haven for beings of all races. He began by convincing his closest advisers, then his House of Lords. He worked tirelessly for almost 10 long years to get his subjects to accept the new law. With that, all slaves were freed, and the king took his long-awaited love as his bride.
Despite all of our dear beloved king's work, there are still many who wish to fight to keep slavery intact, with the king's younger brother, The Archduke of Thescota, being the figurehead of this movement.
