I was a creature of habit. Routine was my best friend, familiarity was my home.

Then, I met him, and it was like something shifted in me. He made my heart beat wildly. Gave me instances where I felt out of control. It was an unfamiliar feeling that frightened and tempted me. A novelty that intrigued me yet I cautioned.

Instinct told me to stay away.

But, I couldn't.

Not when his childhood best friend was my boyfriend.

The one who loved me, who gave me familiarity, who handed me his heart to take care of.

But what if I'd been neglecting the care of my own heart? What if it was time I took a look at what my heart really wanted?
