7 Years

Sanni and her mate Edda live high in the mountains, dwelling amongst their people - a species of long-lived beings who have not produced a child in a thousand years. The pair have carefully hidden Sanni's pregnancy, but gestation for their species lasts ten years, and Sanni still has seven years to go. Sanni and Edda want nothing more than to meet their child, but there are those who will do terrible things to acquire a young immortal being, and with Sanni's health failing their little family faces danger at every turn.
