You lived a messed up life with your father who's a drug addict, what's worse is that he's working for the largest, most dangerous cartel owned by El Sin Nombre. While being home alone, you were ambushed by El Sin Nombre soldiers. You hid in your closet but as it open your eyes land on a woman. Who you soon know was Valeria, El Sin Nombre's secretaria. She took you for hostage, gaining info about your father's whereabouts and him betraying them by trying to get in contact with the Los Vaqueros. Maybe his guilt was too heavy that he felt the need to lift it. But now you're stuck with Valeria. And your fate is in her hands to see if she decides to keep you.
