It was as if a spell had been cast upon him, for he couldn't shake off the thoughts that consumed his mind. Every waking moment, his thoughts were filled with the girl with pigtails, her image etched deeply in his heart. There was an inexplicable connection that seemed to transcend time and space, drawing him closer to her with each passing day.

Amidst the turmoil of his emotions, he couldn't help but question himself. Was there something wrong with him? Why did his heart race uncontrollably whenever he thought of her face? Why did his face flush with warmth at the mere thought of her? It was a whirlwind of unfamiliar sensations that left him both exhilarated and bewildered.

In the midst of his personal turmoil, tragedy struck his life. The loss of his mother had left an indelible void, a darkness that threatened to consume him. Yet, amidst the shadows, a flicker of light emerged-the thought of the girl who unknowingly became his beacon of happiness. Her presence, even if only in his thoughts, brought a glimmer of joy to his otherwise somber existence.

A twist of fate brought unexpected news to him one day-his Uncle Gabriel had decided to take him under his wing. Despite any previous annoyances or reservations, this revelation suddenly held a newfound significance. For it meant that he would be in close proximity to the girl, the one who occupied his every thought and stirred his heart with unexplainable emotions.

The prospect of being near her, even if indirectly, set his heart ablaze with anticipation.

*none of the picture used are mine* "I've... well, I've been seeing someone," Chat admitted, his cheeks flushing slightly. "It's been strange because for so long, I thought I was in love with you." Ladybug paused, caught off guard. She leaned in. "Oh? Who's the lucky person?" Chat scratched his head, flustered. "I don't want to say too much, but she's amazing-funny, kind, talented, and real. I can be myself around her." Ladybug smiled, her heart warming. "That sounds wonderful, Chat. I'm glad you've found someone like that." Chat grinned, a bit sheepish. "It was unexpected. I had these strong feelings for you for so long, but now I realize it was more admiration." Ladybug's heart skipped a beat. Chat had been infatuated with her, but she had never been able to return his feelings. "That's a good realization, Chat," Ladybug said gently. "I know what it's like to think you're in love, only to realize maybe it wasn't." Chat's eyes brightened. "Wait, are you... seeing someone too?" Ladybug nodded. "Yes. I've been spending time with someone. He's thoughtful, always makes me smile. I think I'm falling for him." Chat's eyes widened in surprise, but he smiled genuinely. "That's amazing, m'lady! You deserve that." "Thanks, Chat." Ladybug smiled. "I think we've both grown, realizing we needed to open up to others, to find happiness beyond our masks." He nodded. "For the longest time, I thought being in love with you was my only option, but now, she makes me feel something I didn't know I could. I think I'm falling in love with her." Ladybug said softly, "She's lucky to have you. I'm happy for you, Chat." Chat flashed a grin. "Thanks, m'lady. But you haven't told me much about your guy. Is he as amazing as you?" Ladybug laughed. "He's great. We've known each other for a while. We used to be friends, but over time, I started seeing him differently." Chat's eyes gleamed. "A longtime friend, huh? That's interesting. How did you two start going out?"

C O M P L E T E D ✕♛✕♕✕ "What about the promise we made when we were kids, Mari," He smiled. I felt shocked he remembered my nickname. That smile.. A sudden wave of realisation washed over me, taking my wrist back. "That promise died on the day you told me you never wanted to see me again, Adrien" I spat his name out like a disease. I stormed out slamming the door, "Our friendship died on the day you told me you never wanted to see me again." I muttered ✕♛✕♕✕ Adrien and Marinette have been friends since they were kids, well used to be. It changed when Adrien lost his mother, blocking everyone out and getting involved with the wrong people. Soon taking his anger out on Marinette, let's say it didn't end well and she now hates him because of that. He was soon your typical player, he gets laid and the others get played as they say. Making out in the Halls, soon followed by who knows what in the janitors closet. Marinette simply hated him, not only for hurting her in the past, but just playing with peoples heart like a toy from his parents. She wasn't exactly a so called nerd, but more what people call her a Princess. Not because she's a picky person but more of because she has a heart of gold, willing to help everyone, everyone BUT Adrien. Both hated each other, probably the one thing they have in common. On top of all of these wild feelings and trouble, Chat and Marinette meet on the street's, and with Chat's confidence in the suit, he can talk to Marinette with ease, how lucky. "Are you trying to impress Adrien?" He asked, and Marinette sighed deeply, walking over to her desk chair and slamming her butt on it, the chair twirling a little. "Jealous cat." She said, smiling up at him. "What brought you here anyway, kitty?" His smile wavered, "Can't I come to see my confidant?" She rolled her eyes. "Well, confidant... What brought you here?" He shrugged and sat on the floor near her, staying clear of the train on the dress. "I actually needed a girl's advice." She raised her brow quizzically. "Okay... what does the 'ladies man' need to know?" Referencing the most recent interview he did. "Oh, come on. I didn't expect them to keep that part in the interview." She giggled. "It was funny, I'm glad they kept it in." He flicked her exposed leg through the dress slit. "Okay, but I just had a question about Ladybug." Marinette swallowed hard at the mention of herself. She suddenly felt like she shouldn't be hearing this because she was Ladybug. "Okay, shoot it." He bit his lip, maybe unsure how to word it. "Well... I kinda tried to court her for at least the last 7 months. She didn't accept it, and I finally accepted that myself... but I guess my question is why she might not have wanted me. I'm sorry, I'm not even sure you could answer that... It just seems like Ladybug trusts you, so maybe she mentioned something to you?" -- Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a usually stubborn, headstrong girl, finally gives up on liking Adrien Agreste. He can't seem to take the hint, and she can't seem to conjure the confidence just to tell him. Chat Noir, a superhero who's able to charm any girl in his double life AND civilian form, can't seem to charm the one girl he wants: Ladybug. Both with deflated hearts seek comfort in others. -- Marked as Mature due to dark topics and references to smut. THEY ARE 18

"She wore her hair down that day. It looked pretty, usually, she wears her hair up. she looked pretty. I told her that too, maybe too many times. I was memorized by the dark blue locks that hung over her shoulders, bouncing lightly as she crossed the classroom. she was one of my closest friends at the time and she never wore her hair down, so I made sure to tell her she looked good. I told her so many times that she asked me to stop. but it's ok, that's what a good friend does, right? or did I mean something different? no that possibly couldn't be it, could it? that's what Adrien didn't understand at the time. but it's funny how fast things can change. there is something so horribly dark about past friends. the days spent together, laughing and collecting memories just to be thrown away. it started out as friends, then best friends then lovers. that feeling of comfort slowly moving away gives Marinette shivers. she never wanted it to end like this, but she truly never wanted to start like that either. in her eyes, they were meant to be best friends and nothing more, in his eyes they were meant to be lovers. some friends aren't meant to stay together forever, but this one is worth a try.
