Obviously, anyone familiar with the Maze Runner series knows of A5 or Newt. They also know of Thomas, WICKED, The Glade, The Maze, and so on. But what happened before Thomas came up in the Box? Or in this case what could have happened?
So, instead of Thomas coming up its Newt.
The morning of the Box's annual monthly delivery of a boy. And a gardener, with ginger curls and emerald eyes, is set the task of showing the Greenie around. In time the Greenie becomes a Runner. But both the Gardener and the Greenie face dark thoughts. Together they face them and over time only the memory will last.

My heart was racing, I was covered in sweat and shaking as I felt my memories slip away. I was huddled in the corner of what seemed like a box. Although it felt like I'd been in there for hours it couldn't of been more then 30 minutes. Suddenly the box came to a quick stop and the doors were pulled open.
