About a week after graduation day, the new Wild Boys, known as the rookies, will get their badges. In order to do so, they had to fly to Blue Halarge and undergo training. This time, the already-badged Wild Boys, Lord Henry and their teachers will witness the ceremony. However, the ceremony crashed when the red-eyed Halargians invaded.

The Wild Boys stopped at Birmingham to meet up with Roger's family and stay for the night. After that, they continued their journey towards Ireland. They soon reached Holyhead, Wales where they will catch the boat to Dublin, Ireland. On the boat, they met a guide from Ireland named Bob. However, a strong wind blew the ferry away from the route it was supposed to go to and ended up in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Now the Wild Boys needed to find a way to County Wicklow to save Gary in the midst of the Irish Troubles.
