Bemi

Sixteen-year-old Gbugbemi is used to luxury, freedom, and getting her way. Living in a private estate in Abuja with her wealthy politician father and salon-owning mother, she's never had to do much-except roll her eyes and get a new phone every time her old one gets smashed.

But when her parents announce they'll be spending the next six months (or longer) in London on international business, her world flips upside down.

Instead of enjoying her dream scenario-an empty mansion, wild parties, and a chance to finally gain popularity-Bemi is shipped off to Warri to stay with the one person she fears more than a broken screen: her strict Aunt Chisom.

Suddenly, Bemi is forced to trade private school luxury for unfamiliar streets, new family dynamics, and a reality where her attitude won't get her far. Her senior year is about to take a dramatic turn-and Warri might just have more in store for her than she expects.
