A story where Zhongli, is roaming around Liyue Harbor and happens to come across an old acquaintance by the name of Childe. Over the week of Lantern Rite, Childe gets suspicious and suspects that Zhongli isnt entirely what he says he is. Meanwhile, Zhongli realises how attached he is getting to Childe and is starting to enjoy Childes presence a lot more.
(Story will include warnings at the start of chapters so if you are worried about accidentally reading something bad, it shouldn't be a problem.)
AUTHORS NOTE
This story is set before Zhongli retires as archon of Liyue, and Childe is just in Liyue for lantern rite, not to steal Zhongli's gnosis. Childe has no idea that Zhongli is Rex Lapis, and sees Zhongli as just a friend.

The man sitting in the golden cage was very similar to Zhongli but very different at the same time. Their faces were similar, but Morax's features were sharper, his eyes glowed angry golden, lips curled in a snarl showing fangs much longer than Zhongli's. Bloodied hood fell from his head showing the same chocolate brown hair, bangs in the same style and amber tips. His posture looked taller and more muscular, his arms black with golden veins pulsing raw Geo energy underneath, golden hands cuffed in jade handcuffs. White robe stained with fresh blood clad his upper half, it did a poor job hiding his thick pecs and well-defined abdominal muscles peeking through the thin material. Aether and Lumine are Teyvat people (not from the other world like in the game). When they're not in the work time, the 2 siblings visit Liyue for traveling only. In the middle, they visit Liyue, Aether and Lumine stumbled upon a young man with ginger-colored hair. For Lumine, that person is handsome and good-looking. But for Aether, that person just a normal hero guy. Since that, Lumine fell in love at the first sight. Lumine becomes change even to her brother, then it makes Aether suspicious of Lumine. Why Lumine like that? Is it because she fell something to that ginger-colored hair guy? Or is it because she just wants to change?
