Summary:
Davie is born without powers in a society were all people are "enhanced" to be the evolved species of humans. As the minority, Davie is harassed despite his "high-tiered" sister who is actually a superhero (the most profound profession). In order to achieve the free life he desires he cheats and lies to success eventually pushing his family and friends away. When the world is threatened by a higher force, Davie neglects his duties, to be punished by fate and his past.

But once they make the female, they find that she is not like her partner. She has a different goal in mind than restarting humanity.
