Somewhere in the Yukon, Aiyana wakes upon a small sandy beach. She does not know where her family is or how she got there. After piecing together what she thinks happened, Aiyana must find her family before dusk and desperately tries to return to them.
However, she quickly becomes lost in her confused state and is no longer thinking of finding her family but rather becomes focused on surviving the wilderness long enough that someone might find her.
