The woman is a Gerudo woman from ancient times. She's lived as long as Ganondorf has due to her curse. She found a mask that was once used by a deranged madman. The mask grew into her mind and made her do things she regrets to this day. 

Majora's Mask.

When a Knight from Hyrule gave her a blade, she used to kill innocents. The mask had finally gotten to her. She was able to remove it but still holds it dear to her along with the blade. The blade is a small dagger from the Gerudo town, a Scimitar. The Knight was one of her greatest friends, along with the Princess. When the two of them grew closer without her, she became jealous and ran away, and that's when she found the mask.

The source of her curse comes from the moon, where the mask gained its powers. She made a deal with it so that her soul wouldn't be damned by all the innocent people she had murdered.

She meets The Demon King while trying to get back into Hyrule, and that is where our story begins...

The new King plots against her so he can have the kingdom and the Triforce for himself but Zelda has many friends in Hyrule. She must leave Hyrule Castle, her home, with no one but a knight at her side. She leaves with a promise, a promise to return some day, an army at her side and retake her kingdom, liberating her subjects from the King's tyranny. This is a Zelink story but I doubt it will be as good as my first Zelink story, 'A Princess Problem' but let's give it a try. The interpretations of the characters are a bit different to how they are portrayed usually in the games. For instance, Link prefers bows to swords and Zelda doesn't go missing for half the story. Ganondorf is a master trickster, always telling lies to manipulate others into doing what he wants. Also, Ganondorf is a very active character who makes an appearance in almost every chapter. There is also always at least 1 fight per chapter so the action is constant! I hope you enjoy this story!

While Link and Zelda try to save themselves from the abuse, an evil prince from another country declares war on Hyrule in hopes of annexing the kingdom, and Link must go to war, leaving Zelda.
